🎨 Neon Splash

Twenty seconds to paint the canvas your colour. Fire blobs of paint — and covering someone else's colour is worth double in the gap.

Twenty seconds, one canvas

Everyone paints the same canvas at the same time. You click (or tap) and a round blob of paint lands there, taking every cell it reaches — including cells that already belonged to someone else.

When time runs out, whoever holds the most area wins. There is no elimination and no turn order: twenty seconds of everybody painting together.

New ground or stolen ground?

Painting neutral ground adds one to you. Painting over an opponent adds one to you and removes one from them — worth double in the gap.

But it is not always worth more. The blob is round and has a fixed size: dropped in the middle of someone's territory it delivers close to its maximum; dropped on an edge, half of it lands on your own paint and is wasted. Virgin ground, early on, delivers nearly the whole blob.

The practical read: the first seconds are for expanding, the last ones for invading — and the target is the centre of the biggest enemy patch, not its border.

The most common mistake

Painting twice in almost the same spot. The second blob covers ground that was already yours and is worth next to nothing. With twenty seconds, every wasted click is a large slice of your total — spreading out beats reinforcing.
