🧠 Data Recall
An artefact spins on screen. Memorise its details and find the exact copy among the options — five rounds, and the differences are small.
- Up to 4 players
- Classic
- In your browser, free
- With friends or against bots
Looking is not seeing
A geometric artefact appears, rotating. Then it disappears and several options take its place, all similar. Only one is identical. You choose, and the round pays. There are five rounds.
The differences between the options are deliberately small — one extra segment, a slightly different proportion, a flipped symmetry. It is not a test of attention; it is a test of what you chose to memorise.
How to memorise a shape that spins
- Do not try to hold the image. Hold a sentence: 'three arms, the top one is shorter, there is a hole in the middle'. A verbal description survives rotation; a mental image does not.
- Count something. Number of points, number of holes — a count is the easiest detail to compare afterwards.
- Pick one unusual detail and anchor on it. Trying to hold everything usually holds nothing.
The round does not close on the first answer
Everyone answers, and scoring weighs both correctness and speed. A fast player does not end the round for everyone else — which means it is worth looking two seconds longer and being right rather than guessing to arrive first.
Where the artefacts come from
They are not stored drawings: they are generated each round from a seed. So playing a lot will not let you memorise the shapes — you have never seen this one, and neither has anyone else.
It is also what allows the wrong options to be minimal variations of the right one instead of randomly different shapes. The difficulty is calibrated in the distance between them, not in how long they are shown.
Against the bot
The bot gets roughly 70% of rounds right, regardless of how hard the artefact is. Over five rounds that usually means three or four correct — that is the number you have to beat.
