🧊 Neon Curling

A long sheet of ice, one stone at a time, and every stone stays where it stopped. Scoring is live: landing on the target counts, but knocking an opponent's stone away counts just as much.

The sheet is long, and that changes everything

The target sits at the far end: a red eye in the middle, a blue ring around it. You see a window of the sheet and the camera follows your stone through its journey — the travel is part of the game, and it is during it that you realise the throw was too hard, before it even stops.

Every throw is a new stone

Nothing is cleared between turns. Each stone thrown stays on the ice and keeps counting until the end of the match — yours and everyone else's, all piled around the target.

That is what makes the game build tension: the first throws are about aim, the last ones are about traffic. By the end there is so much in the way that hitting the centre directly stops being possible, and the play becomes hitting something on purpose.

Live scoring

After every turn the game adds up, for each player, the score of all their stones by distance to the centre: ten points in the eye, falling to zero at the edge of the ring.

Because the sum is recalculated after each throw, your score can go down — and it does, when someone knocks one of your stones away. The scoreboard shows the swing in green or red the moment it happens.

In practice that creates two legitimate and opposite strategies: place stones near the centre and accumulate, or spend your throws dismantling whatever the leader has built. The second one is usually underrated by people learning the game.

Controls

This is a turn-based game: everyone throws in turn, and there is time to read the ice before deciding.
